Walking Dead #95

Read #95 last night.  I must admit, like with the TV show, the more I get into them the shorter they seem to be.  When I finished #95 I felt like I’d only read about 12 pages.

For those who want to avoid spoilers, read on to the end of this page.  For those that are up to date or don’t mind spoilers, click onto the next page.

‘A Larger World’ focuses on the group having met ‘Jesus’ and his mention of a a larger community and trade/supply routes between it and other settlements.  In this issue, they reach Jesus’ settlement which is a thriving community and offers hope just as the prison once did.

‘Hilltop’ is well fortified, and bears a strong resemblance to a castle in medieval times with the agricultural set up and so on.

Rick meets the head honcho, albeit, rather briefly.  One of this groups members returns from what I understand as one of the settlements this community deal with and something has gone awry as he has returned to give a message to the boss man to ensure the safety of one of the group who seems to have been taken hostage.

The message resulted in the head honcho’s claret being spilled and then Rick ends up being threatened and ultimately kills his attacker.

A great first impression of Rick, just like in the Alexandria Safe Zone…no doubt things are to go bad very quickly in issue #96…
